Our Travel hockey program provides competitive travel opportunities for all kids and follows the USA Hockey progression.
Termites
6U (birth years: 2020, 2021, 2022)
Mites
8U (birth years: 2018, 2019)
Squirts
10U (birth years: 2016, 2017)
Peewees
12U (birth years: 2014, 2015)
Bantams
8U (birth years: 2012, 2013)
Ages
We offer 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U travel leagues starting with Termites up to Bantams.
When
Travel hockey typically runs from October to the end of February.
Where
Practice and home games are held at the 20th YMCA in Oshkosh. Travel teams have games in the surrounding area up to an hour away (sometimes farther for tournaments).
Practices
The amount of practice is dependent on level of play.
Games
The number of games played is dependent upon the level of play--the older the hockey player is, the more games they play.
Jerseys
Players will get new jerseys at the beginning of the 2026/2027 season.
Game socks will need to be purchased from the team manager before the first game.
Equipment
Hockey players will need:
Skates, shin guards, socks, breezers, chest protector, elbow pads, neck guard, jersey, gloves, helmet and stick to participate in practices + games.
Volunteering
Returning hockey families are required to do 15 volunteer hours (called Dibs).
New families are responsible for 10 volunteer families.
Sample dibs: skate hand out, raffle help at tournaments, working the clock/music/penalty box at a home tournament, volunteering to work at the golf outing or other fundraiser event, etc.

When is registration?
Registration for the 2026/2026 season will open on July 1 (featuring an early bird discount for the month of July).
Where can I get Warbirds merchandise?
An online store through GameOne will be available in August (closer to the start of the season).
